1. How does the Gateway work?                                                                       Back to the top

  1. Your customer selects the goods/services that they would like to purchase from your business website. They then select the payment option. The total value of the payment due is submitted, via the Internet, using an SSL connection, to the Morton Blacketer Business Payment Gateway.

  2. The Business Payment Gateway receives the transaction total. Your customer enters their credit card type, number and expiry date. These are encrypted by the Business Payment Gateway and sent to the Camtech E-Commerce Payment Gateway for processing.

  3. The Camtech E-Commerce Payment Gateway decrypts the transaction information and forwards it to the appropriate financial institution (i.e. Banking Network) via dedicated links. The details of the response are encrypted and sent back to the Morton Blacketer Business Payment Gateway.

  4. The Morton Blacketer Business Payment Gateway receives and logs the response. Your customer is then informed, via a success/fail page, of the transaction result.

  5. Your business and customer are notified of the transaction result by the site referring to your nominated success/fail web pages. You can then perform back office order processing to fulfil the request.
